Hi Friends! Welcome to my site!
Willow Chamblin is an art teacher candidate and illustrator/artist from New York. She is currently a senior, in progress to get her Bachelors in Visual Art Education from Molloy University. Willow Chamblin's work is colorful, whimsical and fun. She is inspired by science, nature, folktales, tv shows such as Summer Camp Island by Julia Potts. She is also inspired by artists popular on social media such as Radhia Rahman [@knivesmeow] and Sha'an d'Anthes [@FurryLittlePeach]. Willow loves illustration and storytelling and works to incorporate it into all of the mediums she works with. Through her career at Molloy University she has been trained in drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics and studio art education. She particularly excels in ceramics. She has also independently taught herself a multitude of media outside the classroom such as needle felting, glass making, cartooning and laquerware.
Willow's goal is to inspire with her students through art. She especially aims to uplift underserved students such as her Black and Indigenous students and students of color so that they can share any story through art. She also wants to inspire her students that art and science can go hand in hand with one another. She also aims to tell stories through her illustrations, share them with world and at the same time making room for other BIPOC and marginalized voices through her artistic and academic endeavors.
You can contact Willow through her email at chambliw4@gmail.com.
You can check out her art on instagram @salicyn.willow as well as her youtube channel.
